Registration with the CADC is free but, because of our limited resources, is usually restricted to professional astronomers. Note, however, that registration is required only if you want to retrieve original, archival data. The format of such data products means that it is generally of little interest to the casual user. Catalogue browsing and many of our other services do not require you to register!

Since we do try to reserve complete access to our archives to active researchers, our registration procedure is not automatic. New users are manually added to our database and are normally sent account information by e-mail within 24 hours of the submission of the registration form.
